Christine Handy | Model Turned Breast Cancer Advocate

Christine is an international print and runway model. She is the author of the book, Walk Beside Me, a fictional depiction of her life. Christine became a key-note speaker after her book was published in 2016. She is also a mentor, breast cancer advocate, public figure, nationally recognized humanitarian, and mother of two sons.

 

Christine serves on the board of three non-profit organizations: People of Purpose, the Break Free Foundation, and the Wonder Women Initiative. Christine’s first novel is currently being adapted into a film called, Hello Beautiful.

 

During our conversation, Christine shares what gave her the strength to move forward after three serious health issues beginning at age 35, her treatment protocol that lasted for 15 months, how she discovered breast implant illness 8 years after her breast cancer diagnosis, the decision to walk New York Fashion Week after she became flat, why she was determined to get her novel made into a movie, and how saying “YES” to a meeting with a former prisoner, led to an incredible non-profit.
