Dr. Elizabeth Boham | Functional Medicine Approach to Heal Cancer
Elizabeth W Boham, MD, MS, RD is a physician and nutritionist who practices Functional Medicine at The UltraWellness Center in Lenox, MA. After being diagnosed with an aggressive type of breast cancer at the age of 30 she learned firsthand how important it is to address every system in the body in order to achieve optimal healing. Through the functional medicine approach, Dr. Boham helps patients restore balance in their bodies so that they can prevent disease and heal. Dr. Boham is an IFM Certified Practitioner as well as Board Certified in Family Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in nutritional biochemistry from Cornell University and her graduate degree and Registered Dietitian from Columbia University.
She witnesses the power of nutrition every day in her practice and is committed to training other physicians to utilize nutrition in healing. She is on the faculty for the Institute for Functional Medicine and has developed and taught the functional nutrition curriculum that is being used to educate doctors worldwide in the power of nutrition. Dr. Boham has published articles and chapters in textbooks and has been interviewed for many articles, television shows and podcasts. Through her practice and lecturing, she has helped thousands of people achieve their goals of optimum health and wellness.
